I spoke to Asia a couple of times and he mentioned that 2 guys from BULLSHIDO.COM came up with the money but Mr. A-shit-da was quick to back out with numerous reasons..

I think he prolly is a very great fighter and just wants to be respected, but the way he goes about it is just all wrong and seems like boasting and bragging. Then everyone attacks, kinda like i was on here.

I did'nt say he was. I said i think he probably is. Why do you always come out of nowhere with a comment that is based on an incorrect hypothesis. On top of that why do you always try to attack ppl and instigate situations?

Ashida Kim, or whatever is real name is, is now a "legend" in the MA online community. All he ever proved was that he was great at making up fantasies.
Some time ago, an australian Kwooner (Danny) actually trained some A.K. stuff. I believe he even made some seminar with the Mysterious Man.
The video he kindly sent us were interesting but far from the "super duper" contents of A.K books. [which were available for free online at some point]

My personal position is that A.K is in need of serious mental help, but he serves a useful role in the MA community : he attracts and satisfies those interested in fantasy martial arts.

I read this guys bullshit once and it just made me angry (insert Hulk smash) :lol:

. I had my friend email him like 2 years ago to say we could fight for free in the street and then he could report who won, and if he lied it didn't matter because nobody knew who I was. Never got a response. I know that someone found out where he lived and went to where he taught and he was some small weak guy.

Yes, I remember reading this on his website. Apparently it was his instructor who also doubled as a hair stylist!

Fantasy martial arts got me into training 13 years ago. Ashida Kim's books actually count amongst my collection :oops:

. I was bought them because of my early interest in ninjutsu via comic books. Of course, I was very naive then. Now all these years later I came across Mr. Kim on the internet along with all the other fantasy website links that have popped up here from time to time. It's amazing to look at all this rubbish with adult eyes. I still love ninja comic books, but it's a shame that people take "masters" like this seriously.

Mind you, it's as ffab said, they form a part of the varied martial arts world.

tsunami, why are you so quick to strike back? I was asking why you thought he was (even probably) a good fighter. I don't see what's wrong with that. It was an inquiry. And my second inquiry was if you had trained under him. I don't see what's wrong with that either. I never said anything about your character or your mother. You taking offense is your choice. And if you choose to answer my questions or not, remember, I had nothing to do with your flame (unless asking questions is not allowed).

What we REALLY know about Ashida Kim right now:

He knows absolutely DICK about ninjutsu. Or asian culture for that matter. He does not speak ANY asian language but claims to have proof of his Koga ninjitsu lineage.

He has a clip out of him apparently whipping a kickboxers butt. From what I can tell the kickboxer just started using Clearasil and the whole thing looks staged.

He is old now and can't answer the challenge he puts up on his site. (This was on of the excuse he gave when Anthony_A accepted his challenge.)

Kids like Ashida because he will let them live out any little ninja fantasy they want even if it is obviously STUPID and could get them KILLED.

He apprently only met Count Dante (John Keahan) ONCE. He NEVER really trained under him. This truth came to light when Ashida was being threaten with legal action from the Black Dragon Fighting Society the Dante created and left to Bill Agular. Ashida has claimed to be GRANDMASTER of said Society which was also not true.
