Uhm Ashida doesn't know DICK about meditation ans Kuji. I know this first hand. He's only printed stuff he heard somewhere else. Not only his kuji WRONG he doesn't really know about the difference in Kuji kiri and Kuji in. I know this because I used to study Mikkyo (were most of the esoteric teachings are drawn from) Ashida's BS doesn't match what I been taught from actual followers nor does it match whats in the makimono I have.
